  • Ina Garten's Roasted Shrimp Cocktail

    Roasted Shrimp Cocktail

I make tons of Shrimp Cocktail. Why? Because people love it. I love it. If you put a tray of shrimp out, regardless of the quality or flavor, it will be gone. People. Love. Shrimp. Cocktail. But I take issue with this.  Water logged, flavorless excuses for…

    Chicken with Forty Cloves

We have a screened-in porch and after ten years, we finally gave it some love and turned it into the porch we always wanted. We even hand built a farmhouse table for it so we can gather round it for Feast and Merriment. The inaugural dinner…

    Brunch at it’s Best

    My Favorite Ricotta

Making my own ricotta cheese is on my never ending ‘to-do’ list! Until I get around to that, I need to continue to buy it pre-made. This is not a bad thing because I am addicted to the Calabro brand ricotta. I love it- I just eat it right out of the tub! Its light and fluffy and flavored perfectly!

On My Mind
There is a world of vegetables out there and I’m going to start eating them all!
Welcome to Feast & Merriment!

A site about my passion for cooking, dining, and quality ingredients and how they bring joy, laughter and learning to my life. I needed a place to write about the recipes I tried or created so next time, I would know what to do (or what not to do!) I wanted a place to record that 'great veal chop recipe' so I could make it again and know just what I did. And what was it that I liked so much about that Chianti I just tried? So here it is world- My Culinary Adventures!
